Peer to Peer Recovery Class

Our Peer-2-Peer Recovery Development Academy is in place to give underserved communities a fair chance at becoming certified as Peer Recovery Specialists. Applicants need to have at least one year or more of continuous recovery experience, prior to applying for the training. If you don’t have 1 year of recovery experience yet, you are welcome to volunteer at TCRP until you have the required recovery time.

A Certified Peer Recovery Specialist is a friend, cheerleader, resource broker, confidant, advocate, and teacher. A CPRS doesn’t promote or force treatment or abstinence, instead opting to be open-minded in helping the people they serve to become successful in the goals that they set for themselves. This often means working with individuals who are still drinking or using drugs on a regular basis.

For any and all other questions or concerns, please give us a call at 612-886-2045, or email Christopher Burks  at chris@twincitiesrecoveryproject.org

Our current session will run October 2nd - 6th (8am - 6pm daily) with graduation on Saturday the 7th from 4pm - 6pm.
